The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Trident Area mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Trident Area began in 1957, as The Boys Club
under the leadership of a group of African American community members who wanted
to provide a safe and constructive alternative for boys during their
out-of-school hours. Boys and Girls Clubs of the Trident Area is now chartered
to proved service in Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston Counties.
We provide summer day camp and after school programs throughout Charleston,
Dorchester and Berkeley Counties to youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Our
programs focus on academics, health & fitness, technology, leadership and
life skills.
